Actually, to be more accurate … I did a weird thing this morning. It didn’t just happen. But it is so surprising to me that I did it – that I’m not even sure how to frame it in my brain.
We need to have a sense of worthiness that is independent of what we can do for or offer to others, that is independent of how we look or what we accomplish. Just by virtue of being alive, we are worthy of all of the good that life has to offer. We are worthy of love – of loving and of being loved. So many of us feel that we are only worthy if we look a certain way or if we accomplish certain things – as if we had to somehow earn our innate worthiness.
My greatest passion in life is to create and hold safe space for people (including me) to be our full, authentic selves – in all of our uniqueness and diversity and sacredness. I want you to feel safe to explore, to question, and to be who you really are. Get in touch with your inner voice, your true feelings, desires, and beliefs. Who are you when you let go of perfectionism and approval seeking – and instead simply allow yourself to be fully human – to be YOU?
Our ability to move forward despite our imperfections, our willingness to embrace our imperfections, and our determination to live our full lives and share our imperfect gifts – are all steps toward healing. Allowing ourselves to be imperfect is a step toward healing.
Life doesn’t always go the way we want it to go. Many times, our plans, hopes, and dreams get disrupted. When that happens, we can choose to look for the gift(s).
What gifts do you bring to this life to bless your family, your friends, your community, and the world? Are you using them? Or are you waiting until you have a little more experience … or a little more education … or have perfected a talent/skill to a higher level? Are you holding yourself backContinue reading “Imperfect Is Okay – Stop Playing Small”
A little over 20 years ago, I was coaching a high school girls’ sports team. The athletic department had instructed us coaches to let our players know that if any student athletes were caught smoking or drinking alcohol, they would be summarily dismissed from the team and no longer allowed to play the rest ofContinue reading “When I First Started Doing Intuitive Readings”
I found a bin of my old papers in the basement a few mornings ago when I was looking for a toaster oven. I brought the papers upstairs to check them out. There were letters that I wrote to my Mom from when I lived in Spain and lots of letters and writings from whenContinue reading “Healing Is An Ongoing Journey & Perfection Isn’t Part of the Deal”
Most of us have some awareness of the healing power of love. Often, when we think about that, we think about directing love outward – toward others. I want to talk a moment about the healing power of directing love inward – toward ourselves. Two of the most profoundly impactful healing practices that have helpedContinue reading “The Healing Power of Love”
